MTO bases its operations out of Iqaluit. Due to the recent announcement of the presence of Covid-19, in Iqaluit, MTO’s day to day operations have been affected. As of now, online courses and course development will proceed as scheduled, for April and May. Any participants registered for in person training should contact MTO for the latest updates. MTO will be reassessing as public health provides updates. The safety of all Nunavummiut is important to us. Please stay safe and contact us with any questions or concerns.

CALL FOR ARTISTS

 

The Nunavut Municipal Training Organization (MTO) invites emerging and established artists of all ages from across Nunavut to take part in a unique visual arts initiative. This initiative will support and promote artists in Nunavut by providing them with the opportunity to create artwork that will be displayed at the MTO training centre and will be exhibited in Iqaluit. Artists will be compensated and expected to create the artwork in their own space and community.

POSTPONE NOTICE

Due do to the territory wide shutdown, the MTO is postponing all training opportunities until the new year. This will include all remote learning courses. Municipalities who have registered participants should cancel all travel arrangements. 

Please stay safe during this time. MTO is looking forward to reconvening when public health measures permit.
