Course Description:

The purpose of this training will be to introduce community members to the roles and responsibilities of being a member of a Community Emergency Management Team (CEMT).  During these 4 days of training, the members of the CEMT will learn how to develop a CEMT and how to define the roles and responsibilities and duties along with who should be an active member of the team.

Course Topics:

• CEMT participants will be advised what can be expected of them in an emergent situation
• What resources they will need
• How to obtain these resources
• Whether or not to declare an emergency in their hamlet
