Course Description:

The Class 1 Water Treatment course will provide more in-depth training for Primary Operators with prior training in Small System Water Treatment. 

Course Topics:

• The multi-barrier approach to drinking water treatment
• The biological, chemical, and physical characteristics of water
• The components of water treatment systems
• The role of chlorination
• Understanding water sampling and record keeping
• Emergency preparedness and safety procedures
• Water treatment facility equipment
