Community Emergency Response Planning
The purpose of this training will be to introduce community members to the roles and responsibilities of being a member of a Community Emergency Management Team (CEMT). During these 4 days of training, the members of the CEMT will learn how to develop a CEMT and how to define the roles and responsibilities and duties along with who should be an active member of the team. CEMT participants will be advised what can be expected of them in an emergent situation, what resources they will need, how to obtain these resources, and whether or not to declare an emergency in their hamlet. A discussion of recent emergencies, events and disasters will underscore the importance of this program and emergency preparedness both at work and at home. This program will also give them some understanding of how to deal with the current COVID – 19 Pandemic.
