Course:
Fire and Life Safety Educator Level 2/3
The first day of this 6 day course is about researching the life safety (could be fire/falls/burns/crashes) problems in their community. Students select a topic and spend the rest of the course creating a program (not just a course), with the intent to deliver to their community when they return home.
They learn how to create a budget, find funding, create a course (or courses), instructor training, marketing, creating a community coalition, report writing, creating an evaluation instrument, follow-up documentation and much more.
The great thing about this course is that it produces a product. Students share their products with each other at the end of the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, each student will receive a certificate of achievement for Fire & Life Safety Educator, NFPA 1035, with IFSAC and ProBoard seals.
Minimum requirement: Have completed Fire & Life Safety Educator Level 1
Students need to bring their course manuals/text books from the Level 1 course.
Bunker Gear is NOT required.
